Questions like:
"How do I set them up so they'll be ready for college?
"How do I know which curriculum to choose to be compliant with my state's requirements?
What about the transcript – what do I need in place to make sure we're following the regulations?
Not to mention: "How can I make homeschool a rewarding experience – both for my high schooler and me – so we're fulfilling the academic requirements, but also other areas of interest that they have?"

Homeschooling in high school is different from homeschooling the other grades.
There are legal requirements and regulations you have to have in place.
Traditionally, high school is where it "counts" – where your child's grades go on a transcript and make a difference in their future plans – what colleges they can apply and get accepted to, and so on.
(And I know first hand those are the very things that scare off many parents from continuing homeschooling into high school!)

Hello, I'm Stephanie Brefeld, veteran homeschooling mom and the creator of OpenHouse workshop. I'm here to help you help your teen succeed and get on track for college and beyond through homeschooling high school.
When it came time for our teens to start high school, I worried about meeting all the regulations, choosing the right curriculum, and ensuring they could apply to and get accepted by their chosen colleges.
But I developed a proactive plan that increased my confidence and helped both my teens and me have a rewarding, fulfilling, homeschool high school experience.
Fast-forward a few years, and they both had fabulous high school experiences, got accepted into wonderful colleges, and began great careers.
Now, I help other parents achieve the same goals with their teens through the OpenHouse workshop.
"What if I'm not ready to plan high school yet?" Or "What if I haven't picked a curriculum yet?"
In the spirit of keeping it real, while I have a comprehensive system now, that's far from how things started. When I began planning for high school homeschooling, I was overwhelmed by the many decisions and options. I didn't have a clear path, and I often doubted if I was doing it right.
But I had the determination to provide the best education for my teens, I sought out resources, and I developed a structured approach.
With OpenHouse, you don't need to have everything figured out from the start. Our step-by-step system guides you through the entire planning process, making it manageable and effective, even if you're just beginning to consider high school homeschool.
Now, after refining my methods and guiding numerous families, I've created a step-by-step system that makes planning high school homeschooling manageable and effective.
If you want to continue (or start) homeschooling in high school…
With all the necessary requirements…
And without any of the mess and stress…
Then OpenHouse is exactly what you need.
